looking for a th400 transmission to go behind a 1979 jeep 360 engine (the eagles drivetrain is a 79 jeep wagoneer) let me know what u have thanks

can you use a GM 700R4 or a TH350. saw acouple of the online but no 400's
I think the 350 would probably work and are much easier to find but not for sure.

I have TH400 out of 4x4 truck. I don't know the history on the tranny (I bought it just get to get the axles that came with it). I know it will at least need rebuilt because it did have some water in it. I think the guy left it sit outside uncovered. right now it is sitting in the scrap pile waiting for transport to the scrap yard. Make me an offer and come get it if you want it.

The TH400 behind the AMC 360 has a AMC bellhousing, not chevy.

I have a TH400 that came out of my buggy. It has Kevlar bands and all the extras. Manual valve body as well. It only has four rides on it; it was bolted up to a 572 and did just fine. $2500.00 and its yours. I went to a total custom TH400, new custom housing and all aluminum as well.
